To relieve poverty in Madagascar

Why “Adopt a tree” ?

Madagascar was once called the green island. Unfortunately, because of the practices of its population which must first use its primary resources, because of its poverty to meet its needs, Madagascar is today called the red island.

Today, 93% of Malagasy people still use charcoal every day for cooking, which does not let nature breathe, especially the trees. If we look at the map of the big island today we can see that the desert is advancing rapidly.

Reforestation is a symbol in a country like Madagascar. It's the promise to start afresh, to reconnect with an extraordinary environment, and to focus on the long term.

This is why the Environment department exists today, to teach children the importance of protection because it is the home that humanity shares.

SILVA is a project born from this initiative to teach its children and young beneficiaries to experience and learn the importance of mother nature.
