Education For Madagascar - is committed to the Sustainable Development Goals 4 as a priority which outlines the Right of all children to a Quality Education and the urgent need to train many more educators to help achieve this Right.

Our aims are to stand up for and promote this Right, to expand the number of Schools, teachers and adults trained to deliver child-centred Montessori education, to find innovative and effective means of providing education to those children who are least likely to access it.

Six grassroots Educational projects so far are currently being implemented to achieve this objective.

Education should not limit itself to seeking new methods for a mostly arid transmission of knowledge:

its aim must be to give the necessary aid to human development.

It is therefore the life of man and his values that must be considered.

Our purpose

Quality Education we aim to deliver, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals 4, must be affordable for all. Our purpose is to advocate for society to invest in people, starting with early childhood, in order to fight against poverty and to make the social ladder a priority in Madagascar.

Vision Statement

Our objective, in a nutshell, is to offer Quality Education from early childhood to children and young people, especially to the most vulnerable girls in Madagascar and to prepare them for economic independence through qualified and sustainable activities that meet the needs of the country and the world, so that they can, later on, give back and reproduce the pattern.

Mission Statement

There is a strong correlation between the economic and social development of a country and the quality of its education. In this respect, unfortunately Madagascar is far behind in the world and even in Africa.

Education For Madagascar aims to build a bridge between Madagascar and the rest of the world. How can we preserve our traditions without falling behind in the modern world?

Like a tree, a nation needs to strengthen its "roots" and its culture in its tradition, but also, like a tree, to spread its wings towards the sky to ensure its growth.  This is the picture we want to pass on to our children. A majestic tree is firmly anchored in the ground by its roots: Strong in their culture, solid in their origin and rich in their traditions, children will feel empowered by this belonging. The same majestic tree takes its strength from the light and pure air of the peaks.

It is these "wings" that we need to nurture in our children to enable them to cope to this ever-changing world. Openness to the world is a privilege, freedom of thought is a fundamental human right. To achieve this, we offer as much as possible all the necessary means to

- master new technologies and know how to communicate,

- imagine the future and

- prepare for new professions such as those in the digital and environmental fields.

Child labour, school attendance and illiteracy rates in primary and secondary schools in Madagascar are some of the challenges to be addressed. Our mission is to reverse these figures. To make children and teenagers love school is our greatest ambition. Demonstrating personal, social, environmental and economic impact is our ultimate challenge.
